Traditional teaching
Traditional teaching:
  • Students can learn only what their teachers know.
  • Having the students get the correct answer is considered very important.
  • Students are expected to memorize what their teachers said during the lecture.
Modern ways of teaching:
  • cooperative relationships among students,
  • students are given an opportunity to work on negotiating meaning,
  • students work with meaningful, cognitively demanding language and content within the context of authentic material and tasks,
  • learning should relate to studentʼs real needs.
